On the 30th July 2017 the museum exhibited at the Yorkshire Day fair on the King George V playing fields. Our stall provided lots of information about the museum, retail items in our shop, the “Friends” association and future events. We also ran craft activities for the very young. Many of the volunteers also sold our “One year on Prize Draw” tickets. We re-opened our doors on Saturday the 17th September 2016 after a major refurbishment and many of our wonderful local artists and organisations have donated prizes for our anniversary draw to be held at the museum on Sunday the 17th September 2017. The Worshipful the Mayor Of Oldham Councillor Shadab Qumer showed a great deal of interest in all we had to say and approached our own “Ammon Wrigley” to invest £5 in a book of our tickets. We all wish him good luck with his investment. “Ammon” and “Mr Platt”  also met Councillors Roan and Kirkham! Why not improve the odds of you winning a prize by buying one of our tickets? The tickets are available at all our events and at the museum reception between 1 and 4 pm daily until 2.30 pm on the 17th September
