Educational Visits

Saddleworth Museum welcomes educational visits from people aged 4 to 104! We offer workshops linked to the National Curriculum.

Current workshops include The Victorians, Long Ago, Changes, The Romans, Settlements and Toys. We welcome visits from home-educated groups.

A two hour workshop costs £2.50 per child (accompanying adults are free). All workshops are organized and led by the Education Assistant. We can also arrange free familiarization tours for teachers and loans boxes to consolidate your visit.

Boredom Busters - holiday activity

Our art and craft event - Boredom Busters - for 4 –12 year olds takes place every half term and during the Summer holidays in our Art Gallery. Admission is £3 per child to include all materials. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

We do not have a crèche but there is an area where you can relax with your under 4’s within the Art Gallery. Baby changing facilities are available.
