What is a Friend?

A Friend is someone who supports you through thick and thin, in poverty and wealth, and it is partly due to the continued support of its Friends organization that Saddleworth Museum has survived as a charitable institution since its inception by the Museum Chairman, Roger Tanner forty years ago.

Some of our Friends are also volunteers and help with fundraising, administration, maintenance and catering. Without the hundreds of ‘people hours’ they donate the museum could not function as well as it does.

So please become a Friend and support your local museum.
