Friends of Saddleworth Museum
A Friend is someone who supports you through thick and thin, in poverty and wealth, and it is partly due to the continued support of its Friends organization that Saddleworth Museum has survived as a charitable institution since its inception by the Museum Chairman, Roger Tanner in 1962
Some of our Friends are also volunteers and help with fundraising, administration, maintenance and catering. Without the hundreds of ‘people hours’ they donate the museum could not function as well as it does.
Friends Coffee mornings are every 2nd Wednesday in the month,coffee,tea biscuits and toasted tea cakes in the gallery.Catch up with friends and take part in the raffle.
The ’200′ club draw takes place every month at the coffee mornings. Membership of the ’200′ club costs £12 per year there is a monthly draw with 3 cash prizes and a special Christmas draw.
Coach trips organised by the Friends can be booked at the coffee mornings.
