Farmers Market

2nd Sunday each month
9.00am-2.00pm - Free admission


Come down to the Museum Art Gallery to stock up on excellent quality produce. It’s a lovely venue to do your shopping and the choice is wide, with organic vegetables, cheeses and Saddleworth lamb being just a few of the goods available.

There’s usually an exhibition on display, so you can catch up with the art world as well – and all free of charge. 

Separate admission to the museum.


Boom Ting
Every Friday
10.15am (not school holidays)

An introduction to music and rhythm for babies and small children (0-5)with musical instruments to play, songs to sing and games.
£2.50 per session (small babies 50p).

 

 Friends Coffee Morning
2nd Wednesday each month
10.30am-12.30pm 

Our Museum is in a lovely setting, so why not join us for an excellent cup of coffee with biscuits – all for 75p. You can chat to old friends or make new ones; you can see our latest art gallery exhibition; or you can just gaze out on to the canal.

 

Canalside Quilters
Every Tuesday morning 9.45-12.15pm

If you are interested in quilting either as somebody who practices it or somebody who wants to learn this is a wonderful group to join. It meets every Tuesday morning and is a wonderful opportunity to meet like minded setting in the pleasant environment of the gallery overlooking the canal - hence our name.


Textile Working Days

The museum has a working textile gallery including a locally made Dobcross Loom - the machinery runs occasionally - so look out in the local press or contact us - details below.
