From Bleak Hey Nook to Woolleys via Paradise. The collection of large scale Ordnance Survey maps and other local maps and plans shows the development and change of the various Saddleworth hamlets.

The papers of Bernard Barnes and Julian Hunt, both previous editors of the Saddleworth Historical Society's Bulletin contain files bringing together material relating to many of the individual hamlets.

Saddleworth Museum is independent and we are reliant on volunteers for a lot of our work. If you want to visit the archive please e-mail us with your enquiry and what you are looking for and we will arrange a time.
