Room Hire

Our canal-side community gallery occupies one of the most favoured and special positions in Uppermill.

With a car park outside the modern museum entrance, wheelchair access, a lift, views over the canal, cctv/home/0d,  presentation screen and built-in sound system (room hire with the additional  options of kitchen facilities, an outside patio and secret garden available to hire), this could be the first port of call for your event or exhibition.

With around than a 1,100 square feet of floor space, an additional stage area of 300 square feet, and 800 square feet of hanging space (the walls are fitted  with hanging rails and strategic led lighting), we may be able to offer an ideal venue for your event or exhibition.

For those booking the space for an event:- the community gallery is also an art gallery (which can provide a wonderful backdrop for you) so we ask that you respect, and take care near, the exhibition on display.

The community gallery is for event hire during the day or evening during the week or week-ends and we will be happy to discuss any special requirement you may have. 

We promote our own events on this website, social media sites and local publications and community notice boards. Should you like us to promote your event as your host please ask.

Some of our terms & conditions.

A deposit is required to secure your booking.

Our prices include, if required, outside normal hours building security, use of lift for wheelchair access, chair and/or table hire, presentation facilities and/or limited kitchen facilities use and of course heating and lighting for your event. If you require any special use of our indoor facilities and/or outside space please ask for a special quote.

Art exhibitions have an additional commision sales handling charge. Bookings are only accepted for a 4 to 6 week period and include a pm hanging the week before, one preview afternoon and a pm removal the week after your booking. If you require any other arrangement please ask.

You must arrange your own insurance should your event or exhibition include valuables or extra-ordinary control.

It is important that you check our maximum occupancy regulations and explain our fire evacuation procedure to attendees if your event ,or exhibition preview afternoon, includes exclusive use of this community space.
