SUMMARY:"Milling Around" art exhibition by Janis Bowie
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition is with us from Saturday 19th October to Sunday 17th November. Prior to her teaching career in Design / Technology and Art\, Janis spent a couple of years working as a quality controller in a woollen textile mill. As she became aware that the mills were starting to close down she decided to produce some paintings to keep the memory alive of an industry which was once an important part of our heritage.. The exhibition is open daily 1pm to 4pm and admission is free.

DESCRIPTION:A small admission charge applies for entrance to our collections galleries. Families should ask for our Halloween Family Trail. Search for the Halloween figures around the museum and answer the questions. In the children’s activity are in gallery three we have Halloween based colouring and crafts etc. We also have the usual interactives in every gallery and dressing up stage etc.
