We think this may be the “star of the show” in our stained glass range.

Being handmade by one of our volunteers,  there will be natural variations in the product/ delivered against  the image/s portrayed, making this even more unique and custom made.

This product is fragile. If you ask us to ship we will try our best to make sure the item arrives /home/0ein good condition but you may prefer to order as “Pick up from the Museum”.

A stunning grey / blue stained glass peace dove  (11 x 9 cm)

We think this may be the "star of the show" of created by one of our volunteers. Other pieces are:-

This whole range of crafted stained-glass ornaments are unique to Saddleworth Museum and ideal as decorations or gifts at this time of year.

Being handmade there will be natural variations in the product/ delivered against  the image portrayed, making this even more unique and custom made.

In early Greek and Hebrew cultures an olive branch, sometimes carried by a bird (especially the dove) was seen as a symbolic offering to help abate conflict. This may be especially appropriate in these trouble times perhaps?

The use of a dove as a symbol of peace possibly originated after that first Christmas and may have represented a personal experience of peace or the peace of the soul. The symbol was adopted by others later,  to present social and political peace and more recently "peace unto the nations".
